Republic P-47 Thunderbolt - This profile is increased in size from the usual 60 / 64 pages to 78 pages (not including the covers) and has a fully bi-lingual text in Czech and English.

Commencing with a brief history of the Seversky / Republic company and its founder Alexander P. De Seversky the book tells the story of the developments that led to the mighty P-47 Thunderbolt. The series evolution of the aircraft is covered in separate chapters from the initial P-47B up to the very last P-47N-25-RE (including details of the G versions built by Curtiss-Wright), experimental variants being covered separately. Operational use with the USAAF and details of service with the Air Forces of the wartime Soviet Union are also dealt with and the book rounds off with a section looking at the aircraft from a technical point of view.

The profile has 73 black & white photos and is full of detail drawings illustrating the differences between the versions and includes 7 pages of 1/72 scale plans featuring both ''Razorback'' P-47 D-22 and ''Bubble Top'' D-30 machines and the revised wing N-15 variant. Colour artwork features side views of 25 aircraft complemented with 7 upper and lower surface views and the port and starboard cockpit interior of a ''Razorback''.The book is softback, printed on good quality art paper with glossy laminated covers.
