The present volume refers to the operations of the Greek (Hellenic) Army against the Turks and the Bulgarians in the course of the First and Second Balkan War of 1912-1913.
In the First Balkan War the allied Armies of the Christian Balkan nations fought against the Turks. The Hellenic Army fought fierce battles in Thessaly, Macedonia, Epirus and the Aegean Islands and liberated Thessaly, the greater part of Macedonia, Epirus and the Aegean Islands.
In the Second Balkan War Greece, in alliance with Serbia and Montenegro, fought against Bulgaria, the former ally, who aimed to contest a large part of the indisputably Hellenic Macedonian territories which the Hellenic Army had liberated through so many struggles and sacrifices.
