An unexperienced observer could think that it's easy to reproduce a weathered model, some rusty pigment and that's all. The most rust, the best. Things are quite different, there are many factors to consider to reach the goal, there are many differences in the way materials fade away.

This book deals with things we observe and how to make them. Studing a picture we will try, using modern modelling techniques, to reproduce the item how it was at the moment of the click. The last chapter deals with a diorama where we decide how each subject will appear, giving the observer suggestions about the reasons of different fading.
