For many, the Hawker Fury is the most beautiful aircraft ever made. It marked the maximum development of the biplane fighter and marked the end of an era. In its Spanish version, this aircraft flew briefly in the skies of Spain at war, and the destinations of the three existing machines were very diverse.

In 1935, in Spain, as part of the project to replace the Nieuport NiD.52 fighter, three examples of the Hawker “Spanish” Fury arrived. Spain acquired a license to manufacture it by Hispano Aviación of Guadalajara, but it was not possible to establish production before the start of the war, and subsequently, the “non-intervention” policy did not allow it.
