Two 337 Sqn Phantom F-4E SRAs returning from yet another interception with the satisfaction of having successfully completed one more mission. After the fatigue and tension of the interception, the idyllic sunset over the Aegean makes the return home even sweeter for the crews and gives them the courage and determination to continue their vigil.
A legendary aircraft the Phantom in Hellenic colours, is the subject of this lovely painting by Kostas Kavvathias. A very nice detail is the squadron emblem of the 337 Sqn "Phantom".
