Ali Straniere in Italia (Foreign Wings in Italy) Vol. 6: PREDE DI GUERRA (PREY OF WAR) - Yugoslav, British, American, Belgian aircraft 1940 -1943
Treat enemy planes captured by the Regia Aeronautica in Yugoslavia (Bucker, Rogozarski, Hawker Fury, Do 17, Bf109, etc.), British planes (Hurricane, Spitfire, Blenheim, Swordfish, Albacore, Beufighter), American planes (P40C, B-24, P-38) and the Belgian ones (DC-3 and SM-83). Some of these captured planes were found in poor condition or damaged, but some of them could provide useful information on new aeronautical technologies.
This volume is the last of the "Ali Straniere" series and, together with the five previous titles, will provide the most complete treatment of the interesting subject of "prey of war" in Italian hands.
The text is the result of in-depth research carried out by Giancarlo Garello, one of the best Italian aeronautical historians. As in all our publications, the volume is well illustrated.
Many of the 28 color profiles have been expressly made by Marco Gueli and represent foreign aircraft with their new Italian colors and insignia. The 98 photos and the large amount of previously unpublished information make this 80-page publication indispensable for all WW2 Italian aviation enthusiasts (the numerous illustrations can also provide model makers with new ideas).
The text is in Italian and English.
